New scholarly journal articles
- What’s in a Name? The Framing of Gang Interventions in a City with No “Gangs.”, published in Justice Quarterly. [Add to queue: Yes. Keywords: Gangs, group-based youth violence.]
- The proactive–reactive classification of intimate partner violence offenders: A multi-method approach to classification, published in Criminal Behaviour and Mental Health. [Add to queue: No. Keywords: intimate partner violence.]
- Supporting formerly incarcerated people before and during COVID-19: is socially distanced (re)integration possible?, published in Current Issues in Criminal Justice. [Add to queue: No. Keywords: COVID-19, reintegration. Notes: While I’m not going to write about this research for my audiences, I think an interesting article could come out of it. The first that comes to mind is just covering the research itself. The next kind of story is to localize the research. Reintegrating offenders is an activity common to any Western community I can think of and the challenge of doing it before and during COVID must have been a factor everywhere. Where are those people now?]
