5 new criminology or criminal justice research studies

  • by

I’m still deciding which of the following new studies to cover in True Crime Adjacent (TCA) or Nonfiction Crime Writing (NCW).

1. The Ripple Effects of Post-Conviction Traumatic Stress in People Required to Register as Sex Offenders and their Families, published in Sexual Abuse.

2. Captives of the “Society of Captives”: Working in Solitary Confinement, published in The Prison Journal.

3. The Role of Culture in the Justification and Perpetuation of Domestic Violence: The Perspectives of Service Providers in Kyrgyzstan, published in Violence Against Women.

4. Understanding Body Resistance in El Salvador: A Qualitative Discussion of a Pilot Program for Embodied Empowerment, published in Violence Against Women.

5. Police Body-Worn Cameras as a Response to Domestic and Family Violence: Practitioner Insights Into the Consequences for Victim/Survivors, published in Violence Against Women.

As always, I hope you’ll find some research to write about yourself. I’d love to read it or watch/listen to it, so please let me know in the comments!
